# Privacy Policy — PropertySheet Clipper

PropertySheet Clipper (“the extension”) is a privacy-first Chrome extension that helps
you capture property-listing information visible on the page you are viewing and export
it to your own destination (CSV, JSON, clipboard, or a Google Sheet you choose). This
policy explains exactly what the extension does and does not do with data.
## Summary
– The extension does **not** collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data.
– It reads a page **only on the active tab** and **only when you click** to capture.
– All settings and history are stored **locally on your device**.
– The only time data leaves your device is when **you** explicitly export it to your own
destination (for example, your own Google Sheet, or a file you download).
## What the extension accesses
When you click “Extract Listings” or “Select Listing Area,” the extension reads the
content of the **current active tab** to identify visible property-listing cards and the
fields within them (such as price, beds, baths, square footage, status, image, and link).
This happens on demand, in direct response to your click. The extension does not run in
the background, does not read other tabs, and does not monitor your browsing.
## What is stored, and where
The following are stored **locally** on your device using `chrome.storage.local`. They are
never sent to us or to any third party:
– Your settings (theme, language, export preferences, etc.).
– Per-domain extraction templates you create.
– A small extraction-history summary (counts and source domain). By default this stores
**summary only** — never listing content. You can change this in Settings to also save
rows locally, or to disable history entirely.
– A recently-exported cache (listing URLs) used to flag possible duplicates.
You can clear all locally stored data at any time from the extension’s Settings page
(“Clear all local data”).
## Data we collect
**None.** The extension contains no analytics, no tracking, no telemetry, no advertising
identifiers, and no remote scripts. We do not operate a server that receives your data.
## When data leaves your device
Data leaves your device only when you choose to export it:
– **CSV / JSON download** — saved to your computer by you.
– **Copy to clipboard** — placed on your clipboard by you.
– **Google Sheets export** (where available) — sent to a Google Sheet **you** select,
using Google’s official authorization. The extension would access only the spreadsheet
you create or choose; it does not send your data to us or any other party.
We do not receive, store, or have access to any of this exported data.
## What the extension does NOT do
– It does **not** scrape in the background or crawl automatically.
– It does **not** follow links, paginate, or load additional pages on its own.
– It does **not** bypass CAPTCHA, logins, paywalls, or bot protections.
– It does **not** use proxies or automation-evasion techniques.
– It does **not** sell, share, or upload your data to third-party servers.
– It does **not** use your data for advertising, profiling, or creditworthiness.
## Permissions and why they are needed
– **activeTab** — read the current tab’s content only at the moment you click to capture.
– **scripting** — inject the bundled extraction script into the active tab on demand
(no remote code is loaded).
– **storage** — save your settings, templates, and history summary locally.
– **downloads** — save CSV/JSON files you export.
The extension requests **no broad host permissions**.
## Third-party services
The only optional third-party integration is **Google Sheets**, used solely to export
data to a spreadsheet you choose, via Google’s official OAuth and Sheets API. Your use of
Google services is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy
(https://policies.google.com/privacy). The extension shares no data with any other
third party.
## Children’s privacy
The extension is intended for general productivity use and is not directed to children
under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
## Your responsibilities
You are responsible for complying with the terms of service of any website you use the
extension on, and with applicable laws regarding the collection and use of listing data.
## Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the extension evolves. Material changes will be reflected by
updating the “Last updated” date above.
